Perserving those boring times in class
Desk Friends
A few months ago I got a reply to this blog on CollegeBlender telling about a girl who met a friend through desk graffiti. Here is her story:
Hey there! I’m listed under Clemson because I’m there now working on my MS, but I did my undergrad at VT
I had to comment because I met a friend through desk graffiti! I was in Shockley’s calculus class second semester freshman year (Spring 05) in McBryde, and someone in another class had claimed the same desk. We wrote back and forth to one another for weeks, and finally exchanged screen names out of sheer curiosity for who was on the other side. Turned out we were in the same chem lab! Good times. Keep up the good work! Document these little things, had it been a few years earlier you may have had snapshots of our conversation

So desk graffiti isn’t a bad thing after all. It can act as a social forum between students in different classes, with different majors, who would have never met any other way! This was a really fascinating story. If you have any desk graffiti stories please send them to webmaster@vtdeskgraffiti.com
Thanks!
